After the last battle, Foxy loaded the drunk and wounded Caedn into the fruit cart. I think I’m still the only one who can see him. The gnome who was also headed east suddenly evolved into Growlithe, and pulled the cart in place of the dead mule.
The rain continued to block a lot of vision, but we continued along the road anyways. Flip figured out how to use some fire abilites to turn the muddy path to clay. On the side of the road, in the ditch, we found a dwarf and goblin. While I was laughing hysterically at the sight of a pathetic dwarf being poked and prodded by the goblin I’m assuming attacked him, Caedn decided to intervene. In his drunken state he hit the dwarf in the shoulder, and the goblin in the rear. The goblin ran off, and I went to recover the arrows. As I pulled the arrow out of the dwarf, he cursed elves, so I stabbed it back into him, then pulled it out to return it to Caedn.
Foxy turned the rain to his “magical elixer,” shall we say, and healed Caedn and the dwarf. After Caedn was finally healed, we finally formally introduced ourselves. The dwarf stayed quite aways behind so I couldn’t see him.
We came across a town called Vestsev, and it was under siege. Caedn and I took opposite sides of the barrier made of furniture, and were caught. Three goblins came after each of us. I got knocked unconscious, and Foxy healed me. I was barely hitting the disgusting creatures, and out of the corner of my eye, I watched as Caedn got knocked unconscious as well. Foxy graced him as well with bringing him back to the battle. Caedn horribly missed an attack on the goblin in front of him, and hit the one who killed me.
I’m sure the extra strength came from Foxy, but I hit the bastards harder and with more ferocity than I ever have before. All in a row I killed four, one after the other. I sliced their throats open, enjoying the bloodlust. Feeling the adrenaline rush through my veins, I’ve never felt better.
Other than the amazing kills, my favourite part of today was when I watched Foxy help the dwarf. I laughed to myself as Foxy shat into his open mouth, healing him, and then proceeded to wipe his rear on the dwarf’s face. The dwarf will never know what really happened.
I don’t much care for dwarves, but he did heal me in battle. I guess I should be a little nicer. Although, he doesn’t know me and he helped me anyways? I don’t know what to think of that. Who is he and what are his motives? And why does he have the same letter that Caedn and I do that lead us to this city? I guess I’ll find out soon enough.
